THE 2015 R. Pouillon & Fils Les Valnons Grand Cru Extra Brut is an exceptional champagne that embodies the excellence and precision of the terroir of the Reims mountain. This Grand Cru comes from the vines located in the village of Verzy, a terroir renowned for its clay-limestone floors that allow Pinot Noir to express themselves with all its power, while offering a good freshness thanks to the contribution of Chardonnay.

The cuvée The Valnons is a pure expression of Champagne craftsmanship, made with great attention to respect for traditions and the balance of grape varieties. The 2015 vintage benefited from exceptional climatic conditions, allowing perfect maturity of grapes, and therefore a complex and harmonious champagne.

Features

• Dress : Pale yellow, with light golden reflections. The peak is fine and persistent.

• Nose : The nose is elegant and refined, with aromas of ripe fruit (white fishing, apricot) and subtle touches of brioche, hazelnut, and toast, which testify to an aging in a prolonged cellar.

• Mouth : The attack is lively, with beautiful tension and a brilliant freshness. On the palate, the aromas of white flesh fruits combine with buttered and mineral notes, bringing beautiful complexity. The finish is long and elegant, with a touch of pleasant bitterness that structures the whole.
