2017 Louis -Benjamin - Didier Dagueneau Pure Blood

Pure blood dagger 2017 Sauvignon is a unique cuvée that perfectly illustrates the work of Didier Dagueneau, one of the most emblematic winemakers in the Loire Valley. From vines of Sauvignon Blanc Rigorously selected, this wine is distinguished by its purity, its aromatic intensity and its brilliant expression of the terroir.

The 2017 vintage was marked by a favorable climate and a carefully controlled harvest, which made it possible to produce grapes in perfect maturity. Vinification was carried out with respect for tradition, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a farm on fine lees for several months to enrich the texture and complexity of wine.

THE Pure blood 2017 de Dagueneau expresses all the typicity of Sauvignon Blanc of the Touraine region, by combining freshness, minerality and aromatic complexity characteristic of this grape variety while remaining faithful to the philosophy of the domain.

Tasting:

  • Dress : The dress is a pale yellow, radiant, with green reflections typical of the white Sauvignon. It evokes youth and freshness.

  • Nose : The nose is intense and expressive, revealing an explosion of aromas of exotic fruits (grapefruit, lychee), white fruits (pear, green apple), and white flowers (acacia). Citrus notes (lime, candied lemon) and slightly herbaceous shades (boxwood, mint) bring freshness and liveliness.

  • Mouth : The attack is lively and salivating, with a brilliant freshness that coats the palace. The mouth is perfectly balanced between fruit and minerality, offering aromas of fresh fruit and citrus fruits, accompanied by a beautiful structure. A slight touch of rifle stone, typical of Sauvignon, adds complexity and depth. The finish is long and clear, with a beautiful persistence and a saline note which invites to the next tasting.
