Delamotte Collection 1999
Delamotte Collection 1999 is an exceptional vintage champagne, which embodies the elegance and complexity of large terroir champagnes. 1999, a remarkable year for the Champagne region, allowed the grapes of Chardonnay to develop perfect maturity, thus producing a wine of great finesse and incomparable wealth.
Produced only in the best years, this wine is the perfect expression of the house Delamotte, who carefully chooses his grapes in the greatest vintages of the Reims mountain, such as the Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Cramant. Aging on Lies for more than 10 years gives it exceptional complexity, while preserving beautiful freshness and rare elegance.
Tasting:
-
Dress : The dress is of an intense, bright golden shade with green reflections. The bubbles are fine and persistent, testifying to the care taken in breeding.
-
Nose : The nose is rich and complex, revealing aromas of ripe fruit, quince and oven apple, accompanied by brioche notes, grilled hazelnut and subtle floral touches. A slight mineral effluve also appears, typical of the large Chardonnay terroirs on the Côte des Blancs.
-
Mouth : On the palate, this champagne offers a creamy texture and a beautiful roundness. The attack is lively, followed by a deep and complex aromatic palette, where there are notes of candied fruit, hazelnuts and fresh butter. Minerality is present, giving great freshness to the whole. The finish is long, elegant and slightly saline, with remarkable persistence.
