The Larrivet Haut-Brion 2015 is a red wine produced in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of the Bordeaux wine region in France. It is developed by the Château Larrivet Haut-Brion, located in the town of Léognan.
This wine comes from an assembly of traditional Bordeaux red grape varieties, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It has a dark and deep red dress with purple reflections. On the nose, it gives off aromas of ripe black fruits such as black cherry, plum and blackberry, as well as notes of vanilla, tobacco and leather.
On the palate, the 2015 Haut-Brion Larrivet is a complex, structured and balanced wine, with fine and silky tannins and beautiful acidity. It offers flavors of red and black fruits, as well as wooded and spicy notes in the final.
This wine goes perfectly with red meat dishes, game -based dishes, character cheeses and spicy dishes. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.
The particularity of this wine lies in its meticulous and environmentally friendly production. The vines are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted before being vinified in a traditional way. Aging is carried out in French oak barrels for 18 months, with a percentage of new barrels which varies according to the vintage.
