Carnet tour - 0.75L - 2017 - The Carnet tower
The Château La Tour Carnet is a wine estate located in the Haut-Médoc appellation, on the left bank of the Gironde in France. The 2018 vintage is considered to be one of the best vintages in property.
The Château la Tour Carnet 2018 is an assembly of four traditional Bordeaux grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (2%). The grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted before winemaking. The wine is raised for about 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
The 2018 vintage was described as a powerful and complex wine, with a beautiful tannic structure and a great depth of flavors. The aromas of black fruits, blackcurrants and blackberries are present, accompanied by notes of graphite, liquorice and tobacco. The wine is well balanced with refreshing acidity, which gives it a long finish in the mouth.
